Three Rivers' Lib Dem leadership stopped regular mowing of the open space on Coombe Hill three years ago. It's now just mown twice a year, but is otherwise not maintained at all.
Penn & Mill End's new Conservative councillor Kerry Milliken has already ensured the council will, in September, consider her plan to end 'no mow' policy at Coombe Hill. But to persuade the Lib Dems to u-turn, she needs to show public support for restoring Coombe Hill open space.

While keeping small wild patches helps to protect bees, turning whole parks into thickets does not. The long grass is often filled with glass and rubbish – in just five minutes, she collected 15 bottles that lay hidden. As a mum, Kerry knows that parents can't let young children play there - and she and other dog owners can't walk their dogs there safely either.
At a time when the council plans to build 550 houses on Shepherds Lane and neglecting the Aquadrome – both of which she's also fighting – open space is at a premium.
The open space gives unrivalled views over Rickmansworth, and should be available to be enjoyed by residents, not left unusable by families.
The petition will be considered in September. Please sign the petition at www.threerivers.team/CoombeHill
Together, we can end the neglect of our area, restore pride to our area, and make it family friendly again.
