At the very heart of Croxley Green, the Red Cross Centre was built to provide a venue for the Welcome Club and for British Red Cross (BRC) activities locally. The cost was met from public funds with substantial contributions from local fundraising raised locally, and it is of significant benefit to the local community. Now, due to policy changes, the future of this vital local amenity is at risk.
Croxley Green Parish Council contacted BRC and Three Rivers District Council and offered to take the building on, refurbish it and run it for the benefit of the community. BRC and TRDC are at an impasse where neither seems to know what to do, and each is blaming then the other, while CGPC is keen to progress!
